President's Statement - 2023-24 Report

Respected lifetime members, donors, trustees, and executive committee members... We are delighted to welcome all of you present at today's tenth annual general meeting.

On February 25, 2023, the annual meeting of the Vankar Seva Sangh was held at the Municipal Community Hall, D-3 Bean, where I was entrusted with the responsibility of the president. I am fulfilling this responsibility with dedication and honesty, working to ensure the organization's continuous progress and to bring fame to the Vankar Seva Sangh throughout Gujarat.

Our organization emphasizes education, and therefore, we have acquired two houses in Gujarat Housing Board-Chandkheda, Vishnunagar, block number 182, house number 1029, with a total document value of ₹1,01,51,000/-. At the time of the document registration, there were insufficient funds to pay the seller. However, upon requesting our main donors, Mr. Ramesh Bhai Makwana and Mr. Suresh Bhai Makwana, they agreed to donate ₹11,00,000/- (eleven lakhs) in a timely manner. Additionally, Mr. Naranbhai K. Parmar had promised to donate ₹1 lakh every month once the construction began. However, due to the need for immediate document registration, he provided a cheque of ₹5,00,000/- (five lakhs), enabling us to pay the seller the full amount on time. This document was registered on October 21, 2023.

The second document, for house number 1078, was registered on March 28, 2024, with a value of ₹82,00,000/- (eighty-two lakhs). At the time of this registration, we again had insufficient funds. However, the trustees of the organization, Mr. R.D. Leuva, donated ₹5,00,000/- (five lakhs), and Mr. Malvat Musen, stick, from the Bank of Maharashtra, Chandkheda branch, where our organization's savings account is located, donated ₹4,00,000/- (four lakhs) due to our friendship. Mr. Motilal Patvawala donated ₹3,00,000/- (three lakhs), and Mr. Girishbhai Solanki donated ₹3,00,000/- (three lakhs). With their timely help, we were able to pay the amount for the second house on time. We repaid these amounts within fifteen days without any interest. Furthermore, on May 11, 2024, we performed the ground-breaking ceremony for our organization's building. The construction of the Vankar Samaj Bhavan began on February 27, 2024, and the RCC work for the five-story building was completed in seven months. We aim to complete other works like plastering, tiling, lift installation, sliding, mill and door fittings, and electrical work as soon as possible. All of this is made possible by the community. The support and cooperation we received from the community are unforgettable. A salute and congratulations to every Vankar, a noble Vankar, a great Vankar, and a generous Vankar.

The five-story building includes a ground floor with parking and a hall, and the first and second floors are also halls. These halls are intended for community use, such as engagements, baby showers, or small family functions, and weddings. The halls will be rented at a nominal fee, and the income will be used for educational expenses. The fourth and fifth floors will be used for educational activities. In addition, a computer lab and library will be set up. The Vankar Samaj Bhavan will be a "Knowledge Center," and its primary goal is to provide education to the needy children of the community. We aim to offer coaching for competitive exams like UPSC, GPSC, banking exams, NEET, and GUJCET, so that they can succeed and secure jobs. Free accommodation and food will be provided to students coming from out of town for exams. We will also organize business summits to benefit small-scale entrepreneurs. Furthermore, it is to be noted that the V.S.S.S. Credit and Consumer Society, which is registered in the name of this organization, has approximately 974 members. This society provides interest-free loans up to ₹1 lakh to the needy members of our community, which serves as a motivating force for the community.
